New director appointed at Barton Law

Equity release legal firm Barton Law has promoted a key member of its team to its board of directors.

The firm, which started up in June, has appointed Susan Bennett as its new operations director after playing an influential role in its set up and launch following the move of over 40 lawyers and legal assistants from Ashfords.

Susan’s new role sees her take directoral responsibility for the smooth running of the business - which is one of largest of its kind in the country servicing the needs of its clients across the UK from its base in Exeter.

With Susan’s promotion, Alison Shiell becomes finance and resources director with Peter Barton continuing as managing director.

Commenting on her promotion, Susan said: “I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to play a lead role here at Barton Law.  I look forward to continuing to work closely with both Peter and Alison to expand the firm and grow its national reputation for specialist equity release work.”
